HORSE (2022)
Thinking of the spirits of the past and its current iterations HORSE delves into the somatics of marginalisation, drawing maps of oppression, using symbols and metaphors of violence, the body becomes image and an instrument for ephemeral textualization of history, an embodiment of past, present and the radical visualisation of a future free.
Ephemeral textualisation is a practice of embodying narrative, creating space to imagine and re-imagine history, personal and general.
Departing from the phrase; from the horses mouth… I surf the waves of impressions in an enclosed space, searching a multitude of meaning and questions, physically answering and questioning alternately as the piece unravel.
HORSE was performed in residency at Descoverartists on Hydra, Greece and filmed by Nina Parsons.
